A.M. NICE NOTABLE REVIEWS

"This Cincinnati trio remains as feverishly fun as they were on their slashing and burning 2018 [full-length] End Of An Era. Without changing their style—nope!—they're just digging in even harder on this belated, cleverly/accurately-titled second-helping, at the same quick tempos for their hard-hitting hellraisers. I'm being redundant—badly so, and apologies—but I *still* hear The Minutemen, Mission Of Burma, Moving Targets, Flower and "Go 2" XTC in this bracing, catchy, wild music played by flailing-in-control singer/guitarist Adam Nice, bassist Nick Hill, and punishing yet riotously sharp drummer Jerry Dirr. It's already an interesting mix for such immediately exciting music, and yet there are many ear-catching/brain-boggling elements, like Nice's crazy Neo-psych feedback wooing over the instrumental breaks of "Two Houses," or his high-spirited leads on the gonzo-catchy "Foreverteen" and "Cool Yr Brain." This is plain old hardworking, sweaty, tight, pulse-raising, revitalizing racket from a machine gun post-punk power trio that just can't miss."

A.M. NICE "END OF AN ERA" (PHRATRY RECORDS, 2016)
“Modern post-punk that recalls both Mission of Burma and a less atonal Middle Class…both dissonant and infused with smart pop sensibilities…”
—RAZORCAKE, Issue 108

"...punk rock swaddled in harmony and pop arrangements like a twenty-first century Buzzcocks led by the immediately hook riddled guitar playing…Rattling like an I’m The Man-era Joe Jackson and early Feelies...End of an Era snaps with bustling energy”
—JERSEY BEAT

A.M. NICE "S/T" (PHRATRY RECORDS, 2016)
“a potent cyclone of sound and energy... with this first release, A.M. Nice showcases a deceptively volcanic sound that, while perfectly suited for an entertainingly frantic and frenzied live show, is far more creatively constructed and musically intricate than one might notice upon first exposure... singer/guitarist Adam Nice slices away on power-jangle guitar like Paul Weller did in the early days of The Jam [with] impassioned melodic punch... The EP finds a perfect spot between muscular urgency and imaginative craftiness”
